PADI Divemaster course

The PADI Divemaster course is the first professional rating in the PADI system. PADI Divemasters are able to independently guide certified divers and provide extensive support to PADI Instructors teaching student divers. Divemasters can also conduct some limited teaching as specified in the PADI Instructor manual. The course is an extensive professional entry-level course consisting of dive theory, dive-resort operations, assisting Instructors in teaching classes & fine-tuning all dive related skills. You will also learn about customer care. This course is a pre-requisite for divers interested in becoming PADI Instructors in the future.

Become a Professional
Working alongside your PADI Instructor, you will join classroom-based learning with student divers and participate fully in confined and open water training sessions, learning the latest teaching techniques and Instructor tips & tricks to facilitate personalised learning for student divers. You will be closely involved in developing and implementing student learning plans, for student divers of all levels, from Discover Scuba Diving to Open Water, Advanced Open Water and beyond. In addition, your understanding of key theoretical knowledge will be enhanced and you will start to learn the basics of teaching in a resort environment.

With this system, all academic portions of the course, including reading, quizzes and knowledge reviews can be completed in your own time, here at the resort, or before your even leave home.
Pre-requisites
Prior to enrolling in this course, you must be at least 18 years old, have a current medical attesting to your diving fitness signed by a physician within the previous 12 months, and be a certified PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent). You must also have completed an Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary and Secondary Care course within the past 24 months and be able to prove that you have completed at least 40 dives before the start of the course. Duration
